The materials I used to make this piece are a variety of repurposed fabrics that span back decades, embroidery thread integrated throughout, and all secured with pins. Some of the fabrics I used include scraps of denim from a previous project, scraps of fabric from a project that was left unpursued, an old shirt that was well-loved, and cloth napkins that my mom bought in the 80s that I dyed and cut up. The story of this piece is in the title, it is about daydreaming and the role it has played in my life over time, and is meant to express the beautiful and idealized worlds that the mind can create from the pieces of our lives that are very real and at times less than beautiful.
